He pledged allegiance to ISIS immediately after it took control of large parts of Deir Ezzor Governorate in 2014, and that was recommended by his uncle Eid Al Deiri, who is the other leader in the organization and appeared in a visual version of ISIS, Osama Al Deiri assumed the position of real estate official during the ISIS control period in separate areas of the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, He is accused of human rights violations, confiscating houses for displaced civilians outside the organization’s control areas, and is accused of handing over a number of civilians to the organization on flimsy charges, and when the SDF took control of the area, he joined it and the violations in his record were overlooked.
After a period of staying in the areas of influence of the SDF, he left Syria towards Turkey, where he remained hidden for six months in preparation for his smuggling towards Europe, arriving in Germany on October 10, 2021, and he is now in the city of Essen, North Rhine Province, at the house of his brother, nicknamed “Abu Akram Al Deiri”. Refugees in the city gave several complaints and warnings to the German authorities upon his arrival in the region.
